    Is there any cure for my dc40s ? Or are they just junk ? When its cold they stop tracking, any advise guys ? Ty

    I have three DC 40's and really don' t have any problem with them at all. I do take them apart and clean them three or four times a year. It's important to make sure that the connections between he antenna and the unit is spotless.

    I have six of them, 2 are new! 4 out of six are shuting off in this cold weather ! All are in excellent shape ! Buddies have dc30s and t5s with no pronlems! Ty for info

    Never had an issue with them I have ran them in -30 degree weather sounds like a battery issue.

    Regardless of how long you've owned them they could have been sitting on a distributor's shelf for a year. Try buying one battery and put it in the worst one and see how it goes.

    I also don't believe Garmin is making the DC 40's any more as they are working on discontinuing them. Eventually they will force every ones hand into running the alpha. Good luck. Keep us posted.
