i normally cut back on the food around this time of year unless we get a cold snap, come May i mix in a cheaper low protein/fat food with what i feed (around 50/50 mix) basically a type of food that gives them more fillers to keep em full and helps there weight down at a cheaper cost.

in the off season i feed mine purina dog chow. if you're in the club it figures out to about 16 dollars a bag. that's a big savings when you're feeding 10 dogs. when i start running they'll get the good stuff.
