I know when I have looks on the UKC website the comps are split between coonhounds and curs. The closest event is in Ohio. Are the events in this area coonhound specific or could I bring a cur?

Re: Other breeds
The events are coonhound specific here in Maine ,but the dog can be enetered under grade and run in the events.....There's not a placement for that breed in these events......But still welcome to come and play along......The cur is recognized as a squirrel dog in its competition......Although make great coondogs! But will call Allen at UKC tommorrow to make 100% sure and let ya know!

Re: Other breeds
Talked with UKC today and they dont recognize them in these type of events, even though they're ukc reg.,but you can still run grade if ya like.....
There's seven that they recognize; American leopard hound,Black-tan,Bluetick,English,Plott,Redbone,&Walkers.......Hope this helps a bit. Grade dogs are club recognized! Which is still a chance to compete, just not for points......

Re: Other breeds
Awesome. I'm not looking for points I guess. I just figure it is a good way to get them out.
