    First event of the season;
    April 21st
    Bench show @ 1pm $12
    Field trials @ 2:30pm $12

    OK, thanks for the info! I was just unsure if you had to pre-register before the day of the event, this will be my first event with my female so I'm looking forward to see how things go!

    You can sign up right there on the spot as long as your there before the deadline of the event starting.....Glad to hear your gonna make it over....Full line of trophies for both events,plus kitchen will be open too....We usually have a great turn out! Lots of dogs and great folks!

    with the feild trials are the event organizers useing a live coon, road kill or a bear hide how exactlly does that work iv'e got mostly ukc plotts and would like to try out i did some bench shows and stuff when i was younger but im more interested in seeing dogs work any and all information would be appreciated.

    Brandon, the field trials are run on a predetermined course through the woods. Before each group of dogs runs the course, someone pulls a drag with coonscent from the start to the tree. At the tree, there is a taxi coon. Dogs are judged by two things. First dog to cross the line, and the first dog to actually bark treed. Hence, line and tree. A dog could essentially get points for just line, or just tree, or both line and tree. Hope this helps.
