My male swiss hound shakes his head when he barks some one told me he might have a yeast infection in his ears. he has long ears like a coon hound. They dont look dirty but want some input please.

My bird dog shook her ears a lot when she had an ear infection. My aunt and uncle have a lab that had an ear infection and there dog shook its ears so much that they filled up with fluid and had to be drained.

Ear infection is the most common issue found in floppy eared dogs, pick up some ear fluid and clean out the ears at least twice a day preferable twice a day the infection will most likely clear up within a week if not you will need an antibiotic for the ears.

stick your nose in there shawn,if it stinks yeast if not probably ear mites or sometimes food allergy
